Rose hip

Each of us knows what a rose is, however, few of us know what it can be used for. This common shrub is resistant to low temperatures, it has low soil and water demands. It prefers clayey soils. It grows better in sunny areas. Often it produces rhizomes. A rose blooms with pretty flowers, many of them are fragrant and produce decorative, shining fruits. The plant blooms predominantly in June.

Fruits are rich in vitamin C (it is the richest known natural source of this vitamin), vitamins of the groups B and K, carotene, many other bioactive substances.

Fruit varieties are characterized by better yields and larger fruits.

Interesting fact: historically, rosaries were made of rosewood (and that is where their name came from).
