Common quince

Quince regularly bears fruits in conditions of central and eastern Europe. In our nursery we have a collection of quinces with trees ranging from 3 to 10 years of age. To date they have not been affected by negative consequences of winter. Furthermore, quinces bloom very late (in the middle of May) which allows them to keep their fruit even in years with spring frosts. Trees reach a height of up to several meters.

Quince is a variety with attractive leaves and pretty, large flowers (flowers are fragrant!). Fruits often have nice shapes and are an excellent raw material for making preserves at home. The majority of the offered varieties have large-sized fruits (a fruit can weight up to 1 kg). Fruits of this variety have high pectin, vitamin C and potassium content.
