Chokeberries

The shrub is fully resistant to cold. It achieves a height of 1-2 m. Leaves are elongated, intensely green, shining, very decorative. In autumn they change their colour into shades of red. In May the shrubs bloom with white flowers. The plant has very low habitat requirements. It prefers sunny areas. It is not drought tolerant during the phase of maturation.

Fruits are rich in organic acids, sugars, tannins. They are high in vitamin P content. It is an amazing plant for diabetics. It makes an excellent raw material for preserves. Fruits remain on the shrubs for a long period of time, even in winter.
